Is it worth stopping off at Miradouro da Eira da Achada?
It’s a lesser-known viewpoint, off the beaten track, but an easy one to stop at.
It offers a magnificent view of the cliffs of the north coast. The whole cove-shaped area between Seixal and Ponta Delgada is a great sight.
And as everywhere, the vegetation is lush, making the panorama even more beautiful.
This is one of Madeira’s most beautiful viewpoints.

WHERE TO STAY IN Madeira
Our independent picks for the accommodation of your dreams:

Best moment
The view is east-northeast. The best time depends on what you want to see: the sunrise, a better view of the vegetation at the end of the day…
View description
From the lookout, you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and sheer cliffs. We’re always impressed by the verticality of the rock faces, which plunge straight into the sea. The view stretches east and west along the coast, allowing you to admire the mountainous foothills that characterize the north of the island.
