In the Madeira archipelago, all-inclusive hotels offer a complete experience including accommodation, food and beverages, and often activities and entertainment. They are located on the main island and in Porto Santo. Most are 4 or 5 star establishments.
The hotels in our selection are mainly oceanfront, with the exception of the Yeotown Health Retreat Hotel. Although it’s deep inland, it makes up for this with spectacular panoramic views of the coastline. It offers an all-inclusive package as part of a 5-day retreat program.
1. Yeotown Health Retreat Hotel (Arco da Calheta)
Why stay there?
Overlooking Arco da Calheta, the Yeotown Health Retreat Hotel is truly secluded in the heights of the island. It’s a haven of peace that respects the environment, where you can recharge your batteries 100%. Exclusively for adults, it invites you to relax and unwind. One of the best boutique hotels in Madeira!
As you swim in its small outdoor pool, you’ll gaze out over the sumptuous natural landscape stretching all the way to the ocean. The accommodations are rather unusual, as they are set up in comfortable chalets. It’s a magical place with a very special atmosphere. Here you can practice yoga and meditation. The hotel offers an all-inclusive 5-day wellness retreat program called The Yeotox.

The hotel boasts a small outdoor pool with magnificent views over the island, as well as a spa area where you can enjoy treatments or massages.

2. Hotel Saccharum – Savoy Signature (La Calheta, 5 stars)
Why stay there?
A true oasis of luxury and tranquility, this hotel boasts a privileged location overlooking La Calheta Bay. It’s one of Madeira’s finest beachfront hotels. In addition to its idyllic setting, we were impressed by the contemporary architecture and the Calhau Beach Club. What about sunbathing on the hotel’s private beach, or swimming in the island’s turquoise waters?
Spacious rooms and suites feature private balconies or terraces with views of the Atlantic Ocean or surrounding mountains.. The resort offers a wide range of upscale facilities: the Saccharum Spa with an indoor pool, several outdoor pools including a panoramic infinity pool, a contemporary art gallery, as well as several restaurants and bars. We highly recommend this establishment to families looking for relaxation and entertainment!

3. Hotel Riu Madeira (Caniço, 4 stars)
Why stay there?
Located on the seafront, this large hotel complex was renovated in 2022. With its 2 huge panoramic pools, it’s just a few metres from the Praia do Reis Magos. This resort offers a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean, giving you a complete change of scenery! Entertainment for young and old is regularly scheduled to brighten up your vacation.
To relax, head to our wellness center for treatments and massages. After meals, you can help yourself to snacks and drinks at the hotel bars. Thanks to our all-inclusive formula, you’re free to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in our buffet restaurant. There’s also a bistronomic restaurant, which you should try once during your stay, to diversify your pleasures!

The establishment overlooks the seafront promenade that leads to the Praia do Reis Magos, a 3-minute walk away.

4. Hotel Enotel Lido (Funchal, 5 stars)
Why stay there?
Slightly off-center from downtown Funchal, you’ll enjoy a more peaceful setting. This all-inclusive establishment takes the headache out of mealtimes. Your children will have fun at the KidsClub, as will your teenagers at the TeensClub. It’s the ideal place for the whole family to relax. It’s sure to please young and old alike!

Why stay there?
We highly recommend this 4-star hotel for families looking for tranquillity, but also for entertainment. It offers all-inclusive facilities and family suites. A footbridge links it to the shopping center on the other side of the street. Set directly on Praia da Calheta, one of the island’s few fine sandy beaches, you can choose between a swim in the pool or in the ocean. Soak up the sun or cool off in Madeira’s crystal-clear waters.
Whether you’re in the mood for a party or just looking to unwind, our facilities are sure to meet your needs. From the spa area with sauna, Jacuzzi and hammam to the lively beach bar, you’ll be able to live your vacation to the rhythm of your desires!

You can watch magnificent sunrises and sunsets from the resort’s outdoor terrace. With its all-inclusive package, this upscale establishment is ideal for travelers in search of relaxation.

Why stay there?
If you’re looking for family-friendly accommodation on the island of Porto Santo, we highly recommend staying at the Hotel Pestana Resort & Spa. It is one of our selection of the island’s best establishments. Ideally located on the coast equidistant from Vila Baleira and Ponta da Calheta, it boasts a private beach where we enjoyed swimming!
Our room was particularly spacious. From the balcony, we could contemplate the swimming pool surrounded by palm trees and deckchairs. The all-inclusive formula will save you time and trouble at mealtimes. This resort is particularly well-suited to families in search of tranquillity and entertainment.

The facility boasts a huge, curved outdoor pool that winds its way through the palm trees. You’ll find a second, much smaller, covered one.
It also boasts a private beach equipped with parasols and deckchairs.
