Flowering gardens and forests

Madeira is nicknamed the Flower Island for a good reason: spring and summer are the times of year when its gardens bloom, come to life and burst with color! Even if you can see other beautiful flowers throughout the year on the archipelago, this is one of the best times to marvel at the floral species in the island’s gardens. The destination is also home to some magnificent forests, such as the Fanal forest, where you can easily take a stroll in Madeira, with its many surprisingly shaped trees!

Remember to schedule the activity at the beginning of your stay in case of cancellation or postponement. Opt instead for morning outings to maximize your chances of seeing them! As the days get longer, the number of species frequenting the waters around the island multiplies.
